Abstract

This study was conducted with a view to contributing to the assessment of the incidence and severity of African Mosaic Disease (Manihot esculenta Crantz) in the Gbadolite swamp forest. For this study, we used the following methods: interviews and informal discussions. The semi-structured interviews were based on a list of pre-established topics or questions, while the informal interviews were casual conversations that allowed us to assess knowledge and solicit responses. The highest incidence was observed in the municipality of Molegbe (65.5%), and the lowest in the fields of the municipality of Nganza (25.7%) and the municipality of Gbadolite (25.6%). The severity level was 3 (municipality of Gbadolite) and 4 (municipalities of Nganza and Molegbe).
